Ohio Gulch Diversion Program

The BMT has activated an additional Diversion Program up at The Ohio Gulch Transfer Station to capture and salvage building materials that still have at least 50% life left and make them available for re-use, thereby also mitigating the negative impacts of unnecessary waste in the landfill.

While on site, we will also work on acquainting ourselves with companies and individuals that may not be aware of our services and operations.

The re-use of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste materials reserves more raw materials for the use of future generations. The recycling of C&D waste is a growing industry, driven by efforts like those of the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program and the many states and municipalities who have implemented programs and laws designed to increase the recovery of C&D materials.
